Publisher ‘Boom uitgevers’ in Amsterdam has supplemented the courtyard garden on the Prinsengracht with two contemporary seating furniture from the BOERligne product line.
The publishing house was founded in 1948 and is housed in a typical building on the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam. To provide the inner garden with seating elements, they were looking for furniture that fits the history of the building, but with a contemporary look. The choice fell on two benches from the BOERligne product line, which fits precisely in this environment in terms of design and lines. Visitors of the publishing house can now enjoy lounging both indoors and outdoors, reading a book or chatting with each other.
BOERligne
The new series of street furniture BOERligne is a beautiful and contemporary line of seating furniture for the outdoor area. There are two benches available from the BOERligne series: a bench with a handrail and a bench without a handrail. For the benches at the publishing has been chosen for the variant without a backrest. The sitting surface of the seating furniture is 2 meters wide and the seating surface contains 7 robust beams that are parallel to each other. Because of the straight shapes of the design, it emphasizes the lines in its surroundings.
Choice of material
Steel frames and robust beams of 12×4 cm are used for the seating furniture. The steel is galvanized and finished with a high-quality powder coating (standard color: black RAL9005). The beams are made of 100% FSC® certified hardwood.
